Garmin → MySSI, automatically
Your Garmin dive, in your MySSI logbook — in seconds.
Export a dive from the Garmin Dive app, share it into FitDive, and it's logged — dive site, depth, time, temperature, and gas filled in automatically. No manual re-typing.
What it does
- Share a Garmin dive
.fitfile (Garmin Dive app → select the dive → Export Dive as FIT File) into FitDive, or pick one from the app. - FitDive decodes the dive, works out the dive site from the file's own GPS (or your phone's location as a fallback), and checks your MySSI logbook for the right dive number.
- If anything's ambiguous — which dive site, or a gap in your dive numbers — FitDive asks you before submitting. Otherwise it just logs it.
- You get a confirmation with the full dive summary: depth, time, temperature, gas, site, and the result.
Beyond the basics
Everything a Garmin file can tell us is filled in automatically. For the rest, FitDive has an optional Add Details screen — nothing required, all pre-filled with sensible defaults:
- Dive buddies — sync your MySSI buddy list (with photos) once in Settings, pick who was on the dive from a searchable list, and set a favorite buddy that's pre-selected automatically every time.
- Dive discipline, entry type, water body, conditions — Scuba/XR/SCR/CCR/Freediving, shore or boat, ocean/lake/quarry/cave and more, current, surface, and weather — all as quick pickers.
- Gear & gas — weight, tank type and volume, start/end pressure, gear configuration and details, and an automatic Nitrox check once O₂% crosses 23%.
- Metric or imperial — pick your units once in Settings; the optional fields follow along.
Track your dives, not just import themv1.1
- Depth profile graph — every import comes with a depth (and temperature) graph plotted from your dive computer's own second-by-second data, not just the max/average numbers.
- My SSI Logbook — a real, read-only view of your actual MySSI logbook right inside FitDive: dive #, date, site, depth, duration. No browser needed.
- Import your whole Garmin history — request a full data export from Garmin Connect and FitDive finds every dive in it, checks each one against your MySSI logbook, and shows exactly what's already logged and what's still missing — even years of dives you never touched with FitDive.
- Won't double-log a dive — FitDive remembers which dives it's already sent (or you chose to skip), and asks before re-importing one by accident.
- Delete a wrong entry, right from FitDive — made a mistake on a dive you logged? Delete it and re-import it correctly — no need to fix it by hand in MySSI. Verified dives and Education dives can't be deleted, whether or not they've been verified yet.
- Add a private dive site, with a map — your favorite local spot doesn't have to be a public listing. The pin starts at your Garmin dive's entry point, but you can switch to its exit point or your current GPS if that's a better fix, then drag to the exact spot. Name it and it's saved to your MySSI account — reusable on every future dive there, with a running count of how many dives you've logged at each one.
- Backed up to iCloud — your local import history, including saved depth profiles, mirrors to iCloud Documents automatically, so a new device or reinstall doesn't start from zero.

- An internet connection — FitDive signs in to MySSI, looks up dive sites, and checks your logbook live, every time. There's no offline mode: every dive is submitted directly to your real MySSI e-logbook the moment you import it, not exported or synced later.
- Your own MySSI account (my.divessi.com). FitDive isn't affiliated with or endorsed by SSI or Garmin.
